The California Academy of Science Museumis a great place for photography. There’s a bunch of aquariums, a 4 story rainforest, and some cool displays. This photo is of the rooftop of the museum – a living breathing organism. There are air vents for the building that open electronically by actuator, and an irrigation system. It helps insulate the building and reduces heating/cooling costs. I hear it’s beautiful in the spring too, actually flowering. I thought it looked more like a field than a rooftop!

1/1000th at f11, ISO400, 24-70 on the D700 at 36 mm. No strobe. Liberal use of the sliders in LR2. I like the lines in this photo, the curves of the hill and the round portals on the rooftop.
